Historic Hollywoodland

Heather Drive is located in the historic Hollywoodland section of Beachwood Canyon. It is high above the lower gates, but a convenient straight shot up that is only a 3 minute drive from the cafe. Beachwood Canyon is home to many in the arts and entertainment world. Many of the homes lie just below the Hollywood Sign. At the historic gates, you’ll find the charming Beachwood Cafe (re-designed in 2012 by Barbara Bestor and made even more famous by Harry Styles). There's also a handy market with essentials (wine and more), and a few local businesses including Hollywoodland Realty in a building straight out of Hansel and Gretel that originally served as the old Hollywoodland sales office in the 1920’s.

Get your heart beating

The Beachwood "Secret Stairs" are a great hike alternative. It’s a fun and challenging maze of granite stairs that wind through the neighborhood offering a close up look at the architecture and views of the city. Dog owners know that the area offers some of the city’s most coveted open spaces including Hollywood Lake with a three mile loop for walking or running, a dog park under the Hollywood sign, the Wisdom Tree trail and the famous hike to the Hollywood Sign and connecting Griffith Park trails.
